Some serious preperations

I am getting ready to geek out majorly.

In ten days, the Dark Knight is being released here…and with any luck I’ll be able to um…travel overseas and watch it there first. That’s the only way I’d get it early right? Right, because piracy is wrong.

Then there’s the release of Hellboy, something that has happened overseas already but here in sunny South Africa I am still sitting on my hands waiting.

And then there’s the highly anticipated Spore.

I think I may take a day off work just to appreciate the game for how long it took to make…and then half way through the day I’ll realise that they wasted their time and it is crap…there’s a good chance that this will happen.

Of course these things are of no consquence to those of you who like to go out and live life in a more sociable outgoing way. You guys need to relax, let that inner geek out and let him enjoy life a little bit.

I actually realised how geeky I was today when I explained some obscure anime reference in some obscure movie to a colleague…and I don’t even like anime. Do you know how that worries me?

It’s nearly as worrying as my comic book fetish.

Then again…who wouldn’t masturbate while reading Superman?
